There is not a lot that we can look at in detail is there? We need to be able to see more than just some of todays browsing history… But to do that means opening the Library Window. Not good…not good at all. Time to make all of that surfing app history easy to access from the History Menu itself! Fix for When Pinned Jump List Items Get Stuck in Windows 7

This happened to me, and luckily I found a solution. Then disconnect the drive, and you will find that you simply can’t get rid of it. you could try and un-pin it all you want, but they won’t go away. It’s rather frustrating, really! The key thing to know is that there seems to be one of these per software. (probably best to make a backup of them though).
