Track the Amount of Time You Spend Online in Firefox

If so, here’s an easy way to track the amount of time you spend online. Once you implement the extension, you’ll notice a little timer down in the lower right-hand corner. It’s amazing how much time I spend online… too much.Download TimeTracker from Mozilla Add-ons

Here's The Typical End of Year Cliché Post With Stats, Graphs and Useless Numbers for 2007

You shouldn’t bother to read further unless you have an unhealthy love for numbers. Not surprisingly, Windows is the choice of 85% of the readers. I should really write more Linux articles. Thanks Gina, Adam and Kevin! It should be interesting to see what next year has in store for us. Oh, and my new year’s resolution is 1680x1050 on 3 monitors =) [from]

Create a TinyUrl the Easy Way in Firefox

Once installed, just right-punch any link, and choose “Create TinyURL for this Page”. Note that this doesn’t save as a bookmark, it saves in the extension’s saved panel. To view TinyURLs that you have previously saved, go to Tools \ TinyUrl Creator \ View Saved. Here you might see the list of saved links, and then copy the TinyURL to your clipboard. This is extremely useful for links that you oughta use often....

ZOHO Continued

I have been very impressed by the ZOHO Online Office Suite. Yesterday we checked out ZOHO Sheets and Writer. Today we will go more in depth and explore the other applications. First let’s take a look at ZOHO Show 2.0 … This first slide is exactly what I imported from my local machine to ZOHO. Vista Style Popup Previews for Firefox Tabs

One of my favorite features in Windows Vista is the taskbar thumbnail previews, especially now thatthey can be resized. If you would like this functionality for Firefox’s tabs, you’re able to use the Tab Scope extension to give you a similar feature. When you hover your mouse over a tab, a popup preview window will show up with a thumbnail of the page. Note that you might actually interact with this thumbnail, links are clickable and you might use the scroll mouse button....

Make Your XP Computer Look Like OS X

For whatever reason, many Windows XP users are obsessed with making their desktop look like a Mac. It even updates your shutdown screen… And the login screen… If you have problems trying to remove this, remember that you setup a Restore point during setup. it’s possible for you to always return everything back to normal by using System Restore if you better. Update Note: Some antivirus software seems to detect a trojan in this software....

Reorganize Your Taskbar Buttons and Tray Icons in XP/Vista

There’s a small utility called Taskbar Shuffle that gives us this power and more. Once installed, you might simply drag and drop to reorganize the taskbar buttons. Very useful utility, and you don’t necessarily have to keep it running all the time. Just start it up when you want to move the buttons around, and then close it.

Finding PNG Images Larger Than x Pixels Through the Linux Shell

When you are trying to work on changing the design of your website, you have to be concerned with the width of the pictures in your article content. I’ve got notoriously large screenshots on most of the articles I’ve written, so if I want to increase the sidebar it’s critical to figure out which pictures are going to be too wide to fit in the new design. Since I’m a programmer, it would be easy for me to write a small utility to do this, but it made me start thinking… why can’t I do this on the Linux command line?...

Minimalist Explorer Breadcrumbs for Windows XP

This explorer add-on is written to be as minimal as possible, and is much easier to install. Uncheck “Lock the Toolbars” if checked… And then drag the toolbar down underneath the other toolbars. it’s possible for you to also hide the regular Address Bar toolbar if you’d like. Overall this is a much better choice than theother breadcrumbs alternativewe featured before.Download Explorer Breadcrumbs from minimalist.com
