Using System Restore in XP

Workaround for Vista Taskbar Thumbnail Previews Not Showing Correctly

This isn’t a permanent fix, but it does solve the problem on a temporary basis. My first test was to restart DWM, which didn’t seem to do anything. Next, I opened up Task Manager and hit End Process on the explorer.exe process. Your taskbar previews should be back to normal, although you are probably slightly irritated that this was required. After a few more times of encountering this, I’m going to do it myself....

Add Emphasis to Paragraphs with Drop Caps in Word 2007

grab the beginning of the paragraph you want to emphasize. Then nudge the Insert tab on the Ribbon and choose Drop Cap. By default it will drop by three lines. However, us geeks are never satisfied with default prefs. You will notice in the screen above there is a choice for Drop Cap Options. Here is the result after choosing the stylish Old English font.
