Most of the time, this page should be empty, but if a recall is issued, you’ll see it here.

You’ll also get a personalized email with details about the recall, and a banner will pop up on top of your orders page.

Similarly, the recalls page will give you all the details you gotta know about the recall, which will change depending on the nature of the recall it’ll give you options to repair or return a gear, or get a refund if applicable.

If something represents a safety risk to yourself or others because of a flaw, a manufacturer might get the product recalled and get users to return it.

A notable example of when this happened in the tech world was with the release of theSamsung Galaxy Note 7several years ago.

Widespread reports of exploding batteries caused Samsung to recall the product twice first on its initial release, and then after a re-release where Samsung promised users the issue was fixed.

While that enjoyed a lot of media coverage back then, lots of smaller recalls happen all the time and if one is issued for something you bought on Amazon, the app will promptly let you know.

Amazon sellers also have the option of using Amazon’s logistics services for returning recalled devices, and Amazon can also take care of all refunds on the behalf of the seller.

With this, in the unlikely case of a recall, things should go smoothly for both the buyer and the seller.
