All models of AirPods Pro, regardless of serial, have the same water resistance rating.

The Powerbeats,Powerbeats Pro,Beats Studio Buds, andBeats Fit Proare also water and sweat-resistant.

Check the model number of your AirPods.

Is the Charging Case Water Resistant?

This is where things get a little confusing.

In contrast, the MagSafe charging case for the AirPods Pro is not regarded as water resistant at all.

Apple’s first and second generation AirPods aren’t water-resistant, so you’ll need at least the AirPods (3rd generation) or AirPods Pro to take advantage of this.

No other AirPods charging cases are water resistant.

As for Beats, only the standard Powerbeats case has some degree of water resistance.

Water Resistant Does Not Mean Waterproof

The term “water resistant” can be misleading.

Water resistance refers to the AirPods' ability to provide a small amount of protection against moisture.

This basically means they are splashproof but cannot be submerged.

Can I Wear AirPods in the Rain?

You might want to think twice before using them in torrential downpours or monsoon conditions, though.
