Summary
I’m a huge foodie who loves to travel the world.
On my trips, I often come across dishes I’ve never even heard of before.
After trying them, I always get curious about the recipe.
In fact, my colleague Joe took ChatGPT for a spin and asked it tosuggest a dish for dinner.
However, the free version of ChatGPT used to only work with text prompts.
you could’t share a dish’s image and ask about its recipe.
However, OpenAI recently released theGPT-4oupdate, which has introduced image recognition capability to the chatbot.
This means you could give an image to ChatGPT and ask questions about it, all for free.
go for the image you want to use and tap “Add.”
Once the image is uploaded, you’ll need to drop your question in the message bar.
Include the ingredients and making instructions."
Then, submit the prompt.
How Good Are the Results Compared to Google Lens?
In fact, I used to use Google Lens for that very purpose.
However, the main reason I switched from Google Lens to ChatGPT is because ChatGPT uses the latest technology.
Additionally, I’ve noticed that Google Lens sometimes fails to recognize what’s in the image correctly.
This is just one example.
Because of these multiple items, Google Lens might not identify the dish correctly.
This was all about how I use ChatGPT as my personal recipe guru.
Therefore, double-check the recipe and ingredients it provides instead of blindly following its suggestion.
