Macs don’t offer this feature, at least not out-of-the-box.

But there are programs that can add one.

Our favorite free option is a program calledItsycal.

It’s lightweight, shows your Calendar appointments, and even supports keyboard shortcuts for quick browsing.

Getting Started With Itsycal

Head to theitsycal homepageand download the system.

It comes in a ZIP file which you’ve got the option to unarchive by clicking.

The “Appearance” tab lets you configure a few more things.

you might use the outline icon if you want something less dark.

you could also add a datetime pattern…more on that later.

mac-clock-preferences

If you want to replace your clock entirely with Itsycal, you might do that.

First, let’s remove the default Mac clock.

Click it, then click “Open Time & Date Preferences.”
