What is a Static IP Address?
First, open up the controls app and then find online grid & Internet on the left-hand side.
You’ll be presented with a panel that shows your current data pipe connection.
At this point you might fill out your online grid details and click Save to finish.
We’ve got you covered there too.
First, pop kick open the configs app and locate the data pipe & Internet button.
Here you’ll want to hit the Properties button.
Fill out the details, click Save, and you should be good to go.
Hit Windows+R, punch in “ncpa.cpl” into the Run box, and then hit Enter.
Next, key in in your preferred and alternate DNS server addresses.
When you’re ready, hit the “OK” button.
And then close out of the web connection adapter’s properties window.
Windows automatically runs internet diagnostics to verify that the connection is good.
If there are problems, Windows will give you the option of running the web link troubleshooting wizard.
However, if you do run into trouble, the wizard likely won’t do you too much good.
It’s better to check that your parameters are valid and retry.
pop swing open the Start Menu, right-tap on connection, and select Properties.
The internet and Sharing Center opens…tap on Manage internet connections.
Right-tap on the internet adapter you want to assign an IP address and click Properties.
Highlight Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) then smack the Properties button.
Now change the IP, Subnet mask, Default Gateway, and DNS Server Addresses.
initiate the Command Prompt and use the
command to verify that the changes were successful.
pick the “Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)” entry, and then pick the “Properties” button.
pick the “Use the following IP address” option.
When you’re finished, hit the “OK” button.
You will need to close out of the adapter’s properties window before the changes go into effect.
And you’re able to verify your new parameters by using the
command at the command prompt.
Occasionally, though, you might want to set a static IP address for a particular gadget.
It will just make life easier.
