Select all email conversations that match your search and tap the “Delete” button.

Be sure to empty Gmail’s trash afterward.

Find all unread emails on Gmail.

If so, Gmail offers a quick way tofind all your unread emailsand delete them.

You cannot yet do this in Gmail’s mobile app for iPhone, iPad, or Android.

Sign in to your account on the site.

Click “Select” at the top.

When Gmail launches, at the top, tap the search box.

pop in the following into the box and press Enter:

Gmail will display all your unread emails.

Tomark these emailsfor deletion, at the top of the email list, pick the “Select” checkbox.

Click “Select All Conversations That Match This Search."

All emails on your current page are now selected for removal.

You’ve nowselected all unread emailsin your account.

Gmail has moved all your selected emails to “Trash.”

Select “Delete” at the top.

To remove your emails permanently, in Gmail’s left sidebar, click “Trash.”

Then, on the right, choose “Empty Trash Now.”

And all your unread emails are now deleted from your Gmail account.

Select Trash >

Enjoy your clean inbox!

Your emails are now deleted.

And that’s all there is to clearing your Gmail account of unread emails.
