The following procedure will work for both.
That way, if something goes wrong, you’re free to always roll back.
You may find that theExplorerkey does not exist, but we can add it.
If you dont see theExplorerkey under Windows, create it.
To do this, right-tap on theWindowskey and select New > Key.
TypeExploreras the name for the new key.
Then, right-press any blank space in the right pane and select New > DWORD (32-bit) Value.
TypeDisableSearchBoxSuggestionsas the name for the new value.
Then, double-choose the newDisableSearchBoxSuggestionsvalue.
Your changes should be applied immediately, and File Explorer will no longer record your searches.
