The only problem is that it takes far too many steps tomanually create a new restore point.

Can’t we just make a shortcut icon for it?

Turns out, yes, there are a couple of ways to do it.

The download actually contains two different scripts.

If there is not a restore point less than 24 hours old, the shortcut will work just fine.

On the next screen, jot down a name for your new shortcut and then click Finish.

The new shortcut will feature the Command Prompt icon.

Right-click it and choose Properties.

In the properties window, on the Shortcut tab, click “Advanced.”

In the Advanced Properties window, snag the “Run as administrator” option and then click OK.
