However, that doesnt mean you have no options to hide certain information onyour profile.
Reddit does offer a few options to help you control your privacy on the platform.
There are a few other tips as well that you might use tomake your profile a bit more private.
These options let you control your profile and your posts visibility on the platform.
To do that, launch a web online window on your box and openReddit.com.
Sign in to your account if you havent already done so.
After signing in, in Reddits top-right corner, click your profile icon and choose “Profile.”
When your profile page opens, on the right side, hit the gear icon.
Youll arrive on the “User options” page, in the “Profile” tab.
Here, turn off both “Content Visibility” and “Active in Communities Visibility” options.
Reddit automatically saves your changes, so you dont have to do anything.
To start, launch the Reddit app on your smartphone.
In the apps top-right corner, tap your profile icon and choose “My Profile.”
On the following page, beneath your profile picture, tap “Edit.”
When youve disabled these options, in the top-right corner, tap “Save” to store your changes.
Here are a few tips you might use to remain private on this platform.
If youre on a desktop computer,use your web browsers incognito or private windowtosurf Reddit anonymously.
Once youve done that, thesesearch engines will be discouraged from indexing your profile.
When you block someone, Reddit prevents that blocked user from viewing your profile or your posts.
For that user, you basically dont exist on this platform.
Note that Reddit doesnt notify the user that youve blocked them.
The blocked user cant see your profile or your posts.
And thats how you tweak your Reddit account options to be a bit more private.
