This can be annoying if you have a dual monitors, or even a large monitor.

Right-choose any empty area of the desktop and go to New > Text Document.

Rename the document toShow Desktop.exe.

NOTE: You will need to havefile extensions showingin order for this to work.

poke the “Yes” button to change the name and extension on the shortcut.

Right-punch the dummy .exe file you just made and select “Pin to taskbar” from the popup menu.

Now, we’re going to edit the properties of the shortcut we pinned to the Taskbar.

The quotes are required because there are spaces in the path.

No worries, though.

Initially, the icon may not change on the Show Desktop.exe icon on the Taskbar.

However,restarting File (or Windows) Explorerwill fix this.
