Echo Buttons are simple Bluetooth devices that connect to your Echo devices.

Paring a Button the Simple Way
Amazon made paring incredibly easy.
Alexa will automatically detect the button and pair.
Just follow the prompts.
First press and hold the button until it turns orange (about five to ten seconds).
Then use the voice command again.
First, launch the Alexa App and tap the hamburger button in the upper right corner.
Tap the “tweaks” option.
Tap “equipment options.”
Choose the Echo gear to which you want to pair the button and then tap “Bluetooth Devices.”
Tap the “Pair A New gadget” button.
Press and hold the Echo Button until the light turns orange.
When pairing is complete, the Echo Button will turn Blue.
