In February 2023, Plex officially added movie rentals.
The good news is it’s simple to turn off those results and never be bothered by rentals again.
We’ll first show thedesktop version of Plex: start typing into the search bar or click into it.
pick the filter icon on the right side of the search bar.
Turn off “Available to Rent on Plex” from the menu.
If you prefer to do it on a mobile rig, open Plex foriPhoneorAndroidand tap the search icon.
Start searching for a title, then tap the filter icon.
Toggle off “Available to Rent on Plex.”
