HomeGroups in Windows are great for sharing files between computers on a local web connection.

At some point, though, you might find it necessary to disconnect from a HomeGroup.

But you might find yourself needing to disconnect from a HomeGroup for whatever reason.

Leaving a HomeGroup is pretty straightforward.

In the main “HomeGroup” window, click “Leave the homegroup.”

When the wizard finishes removing you from the HomeGroup, smack the “Finish” button.

And your PC is now no longer part of the HomeGroup.
