Here’s how to do it.

First, locate the tweaks app on your home screen (with a grey gear icon).

In controls, select “System,” then choose “Restart.”

On older Apple TV models, select prefs > General > Restart instead.

The process can take a few minutes.

The instructions vary depending on which pop in of remote you have.

Unplug the power cord from the power outlet and wait 15 seconds, then plug it back in.
