Grab the latest version ofPS3MediaServerand extract it to your local hard drive.
Remember to turn on your PlayStation3 first before running the media server.

We recommend that you configure the media server to transcode your media files for convenience.
We also need to double-check that our computer internet configuration allows PlayStation to talk to our media server.
For Windows users, you have to check that that you turned on your web connection discovery.
Head to the control panel and kick off the “web link and Sharing Center” menu.
Go to the advanced parameters.
And turn on the online grid discovery option.
