Choose “Translate Message” to launch the translation bar.

Let’s dive in.

If you see this and the languages are correct, click “Translate Message” in the translation bar.

You’ll then see the translation bar appear at the top of the email.

In the drop-down box to the right, choose your language.

You should already see the default language from your Gmail options.

But if not, or if you want to use a different language, select it from the list.

Then, click “Translate Message” to see the translation.

Check or change your default language by selecting the gear icon on the top right.

Then, select See All controls > General > Language.

But by saving the setting, you won’t have to go through the above process to translate emails.

Again, you have the option to Undo the action if you wish.

With so many translation tools available, communicating has become increasingly easy.
