Seriously, its clunky.
Heres how I made it a little more tolerable with some tweaking.

Yeah, I tried everything, no go.
If there was any competition with similar cross-platform features, Id switch, but there isnt.
Its like being forced to use Windows ME all over again.

The first thing youll want to do is create a folder to hold the shortcuts.
Next youll want to create shortcuts to the ENScript.exe utility in your Evernote installation folder.
Its definitely a much simpler way to access your searches from any app.

you could tweak the other options as you see fit.
Again, the Evernote.exe file contains a bunch of useful icons.
Heres the ugly default one:
Now youll want to right-select it to Pin to Taskbar.

Note: If you dont have that option, hold down the Shift key and right-click again.
Seriously, its frustrating.
