Different terms may apply for AI features provided by third parties.
Unfortunately, Samsung hasn’t specified which AI features will be put behind a paywall.
The company may be referring to cloud-based AI tools, such as Generative Edit.
Processes that run entirely on the Galaxy smartphone, like live language translation, may be unaffected.
Don’t take our assumption to heart, though, we could be wrong.
Pricing for Samsung’s AI tools is also unknown.
And we’re not sure how the AI will be packaged.
Samsung could bundle everything in a single subscription or sell each tool individually.
Presumably, Samsung is still gauging customer interest and hasn’t finalized its plans.
Note that this change will only impact Samsung’s AI tools.
Third-party features, including Google’sCircle to Search, are not controlled by Samsung.
Of course, there may be plenty of free alternatives to Samsung AI suite by 2026.
