Making the new computer accept your iOS equipment can be difficult, but certainly not impossible.
We dont intend to leave anything behind, but failure is always an option.
Proceed with caution at all times.
Of course, you wouldnt want to do that.
For iOS, things are a little different.
Theres much more content that has to be backed up before you proceed.
Speaking of backup, Apple has introduced a new feature for backups, and its called iCloud.
You canset up iCloud, so that all the data on your gear is constantly synced to the cloud.
Its that simple, but as long as your gadget is running iOS 5.
We will use both here.
The first one, transferring Apple-authorized data from the iOS rig to the new computer.
Second, extracting non-Apple data from the gear and (erasing and) syncing it again on the gear.
Youll see the transfer in progress.
Once the transfer is complete, click your iOS gadget in the sidebar, and nudge the Apps tab.
At this point, Sync Apps will be unchecked.
So, nothing happens.
From this point onwards, you might add/remove apps from your iOS machine.
All your apps are safe.
Windows users can useSharePodand Mac users can trySenuti.
Connect the iOS gadget to the computer, confirm iTunes is not running.
It will recognize the machine instantly.
All your media will be displayed in the SharePod window.
Next, go for the photo albums (folders) you want to copy the photos from.
You cannot select individual photos, so youll have to copy the entire album to your box.

Both are paid utilities, they can save you the hassle, and serve the same purpose.
