It continues to collect and preserve digital content and make it available to the public for free.
Not to mention lost episodes of TV shows, or TV pilots that never made it to screen!

Of course, intellectual property laws vary from one country to another.
Something that’s in the public domain in one nation may not be in yours.
However, everything on the archive is legal within the legal jurisdiction from which it operates.
That doesn’t mean the site isn’t involved with litigation from time to time.
In general, this isn’t something that you should probably worry about as a site visitor.
The Internet Archive isn’t the only library service on the web offering movies.
