It sounds easy, but it isn’tConnections categories can be almost anything, and they’re usually quite specific.
If you need a hand getting the answers, we’ve got you covered.
What Is Connections?
Connections is a game from the New York Times.
The objective is simple: sort 16 words into groups of 4.
Each group of words will be connected by some common idea or theme.
That common element could be anything.
Sometimes they’re references to economics, other times they reference fairy tales.
There is no telling what sort of association there will be between words.
Once you’re confident you understand the connection, select 4 words, then hit “Submit.”
You have only four attempts in total, so don’t be too guess-happy.
June 18th seemed a fair bit harder than June 17th.
The first word I looked at was power.
I tried throwing in screen, but that didn’t work.
Ultimately, I realized we were talking about “Remote Control Buttons” rather than a digital user interface.
I went with screen next, since it was a problem in the previous group.
My guess was pretty closeGreen was “Hide from View.”
Blue was “Drink Garnishes.”
That left casino, diamonds, quantum, and tomorrowunrelated words if I’ve ever seen them.
Purple was actually called “First Word in Bond Movie Titles.”
