Compared to theBLUETTI AC200MAX, UGREENs portable station is quite a bit smaller.

Of course, that comes at the sacrifice of fewerwatt-hours.

But as I quickly found, the 2,048Wh of the AC200MAX is likely overkill for the average user.

UGREEN doesnt tend to disappoint when it comes to overall quality, and the PowerRoam 1200 is no exception.

Multiple outputs and solar panel compatibility allow the PowerRoam to help in the event of a power outage.

First off, the handle, while a nice touch for portability, prevents stacking units.

If youre working with limited space, stacking is an option youd likely want to have.

Its not a major inconvenience, though, especially since the power station isnt expandable.

I am, however, perplexed as to why the unit was laid out as it is.

The battery gauge, easily found on the front LCD, read 27% charged.

The display keeps you abreast of total input and how long it will take to charge.

Its estimate was fairly accurate.

In fact, it overestimated and averaged about 50 to 55 minutes.

Whereas plugging into an outlet produced near-expected input, the solar panel underperformed.

At that rate, from 40% battery, the station estimated 5.6 hours until a full charge.

UGREEN’s PowerRoam 1200 portable power station is a compact and travel-friendly battery designed to add a touch of comfort to an outdoor excursion. Multiple outputs and solar panel compatibility allow the PowerRoam to help in the event of a power outage.

Separately, the TV and Xbox drew about 79W together.

Alternatively, 1,024W is more than enough if youre semi-roughing it in the great outdoors.

None of those are going to draw a lot of power from the battery.

However, for the UGREEN PowerRoam 1200, there are a few features you cant access without it.

Its an odd feature to hide inside an app.

Almost as odd as limiting a temperature gauge strictly to the app.

As you use yourportable power station, youll want to ensure the fans are working and not overheating.

Its a reading that should also display on the rig’s screen.

Most of it isnt trivial and are things youd expect to be able to adjust on the gear.

Should You Buy the UGREEN PowerRoam 1200?

I see a lot of value inUGREENs PowerRoam 1200.

I suspect its one of those when all conditions are perfect situations.

However, I was pleased with the results I saw during the power tests I ran.
