Once X-Mouse Button Control is downloaded, its setup process is quite straightforward.
Once downloaded, you might start the program viaStart / Highresolution Enterprises / X-Mouse Button Control.
You will find the programs icon in the system tray:
Right-punch the icon and selectSetupfrom the pop-up menu.
So what can we use these extra mouse buttons for?
Well, clearlyCloseandBackare two obvious candidates.
In other words, we need to simulate the keypress ofCtrl-F4.
Lets see how we achieve this.
This is easy with X-Mouse Button Control.
We start by opening Windows Media Player.
This makes the next step easier.
Then we return to X-Mouse Button Control and add a new configuration.
Those tasks are then perfect candidates for per-app button assignments.
