If you want to test it on the same machine as Vista, you should dual-boot.
If that doesn’t work, you canwork around Vista’s shrink volume problemsas well.
If none of that works, you canuse GParted to resize the partition.
check that to write down this homegroup password and save it somewhere!
From this point you will be able to get to your desktop, and start actually using Windows 7.
